Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthina) once again bloomed in Munnar and a few other places. Now the flowering season is almost over. Here are few pictures from the side of Gap Road.

It is shrub belonging to the Genus Strobilanthes.
These varieties flowers once in 12 years. This year it was in places where previous flowering took place in 2002. And the next massive flowering is said to be in 2018 where previous flowering was in 2006.
