Dingy Lineblue is a not so common butterfly found in India and neighboring countries. It is from the Lycaenidae (Blues) family. The color is brownish yellow.

I photographed these from Chimmony, Thrissur in Kerala. It was found mud puddling by the road side along with other blues at noon on a hot day. So the light, as seen, was a little harsh.
About Dingy Lineblue (Petrelaea dana)
The size is comparatively small. Hind wing is tailless. Also, the two black tornal spots on the under hind wing are equal in size and small. The bands on the under hind wing are faint. Distributed more across the Western Ghats.
Family: Lycaenidae.
Local name in Malayalam: Irul Varayan Neeli.
