Common Redeye is a butterfly from the Hesperiidae family, the skipper family. The butterfly has red eyes which helps to easily notice it.
Underside of the wings is light brown in color. The above photo was taken from Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, which is at the bank of river Periyar, Kerala. The place is rich with different varieties of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies. Hope to get more photos of the butterfly.
